The Department of Foreign Languages at AGH University of Krakow warmly invites employees and guests (e.g visiting professors) from faculties and other units to enrol in Polish language course for beginners.

Course Objectives

The course covers essential phrases for everyday communication, pronunciation, key vocabulary, and basic grammar rules. Participants will develop practical language skills that are useful both at work and in daily life.

Course Details

• Format: In-person
• Duration: 12 sessions (36 teaching hours)
• Language of instruction: Polish, with English support
• Required English proficiency: B1(CEFR)
• Location: Building C-7
• Class schedule: Tuesdays, 9:45–12:00 (3 teaching hours)
• Course dates:
  18.03, 25.03, 1.04, 8.04, 15.04, 6.05, 13.05, 20.05, 27.05, 3.06, 10.06, 17.06 (Schedule changes may be possible, provided all teachers and participants are available.)

Registration

• Period: 17 February to 10 March 2025 or until spots are filled
• Selection criteria: First-come, first-served basis; a funding declaration from the participant’s unit must be uploaded to the registration form at the time of enrolment.
• Fee: 899 PLN per person, payable by accounting note (nota wewnętrzną) to the Foreign Language Centre (SJO)

The organiser reserves the right to cancel the course if the number of registrations is insufficient.

Participants who attend at least 50% of the classes and pass the final test will receive a certificate of completion of the course.
